I could understand if we had been loud, or even perhaps if we had been loud earlier that night. But we were sleeping, we had watched tv until about midnight. What is your problem? You first started pounding on your ceiling (which is our floor), then after a few minutes of that you started pounding on your wall. It is six am, we were sleeping, we weren’t making any noise. If it had just been the wall you were pounding on I would think that perhaps you had to fix something or for some reason were putting a picture up. But the ceiling too?

If there was a problem with noise why not just knock on a person’s door? I really don’t know how much noise someone can make while asleep…just let me get some rest.

Before you pound on walls and floors perhaps you should investigate where the noise you are pounding about is coming from. You are after all surrounded by apartments below, above and next to. You’ve done this before when I was reading, I yelled we aren’t the ones making noise you’ve always stopped. My patience is wearing thin. Just knock on a door and ask someone to quiet down.

  1. Maybe they thought your TV was loud at 12 and were passive-aggressively getting back at you by waking you early.

  2. Or the OB could have knocked on the neighbour’s door and ask them what’s up. More productive than bitching here where the neighbour probably won’t see it.

  3. Come on, Bro Tim, people actually taking initiative and going to the source of the problem instead of writing about it? You’re too far gone, man! You’re just talking crazy.

Attempting to do something for yourself is gone with the 20th century. I mean, what else is the Internet used for except for writing about dumb shit and taking pictures of yourself throwing up gang signs that you don’t even know the meaning of?

  4. Just to reinforce Tim’s point, let’s quote the OP:
“If there was a problem with noise why not just knock on a person’s door?”

    DUH!!!?!

  5. This is when you give them somethign good to look at. Get a clean cat litter pan throw some rock candy in there and a few chunks of ohenry bar adn next time old bat looks in, grab a piece of that chocolate and go for a snack… then you can tell them they have to clean their puke off the side of your hosue as well…

  6. You must live in my old apt, OP.

The bitch who lived below me was fucking NUTS. She’d randomly pound on the ceiling at 4am when I was sleeping. She CLAIMED she could even hear my cats walking around WHEN THEY WERE FOUR WEEK OLD NOT EVEN ONE POUND KITTENS!

But oh no, it was a different story when her loser brother (both were in their mid 30s and lived together. both were fat asses and socially inept to the max — bitch was jealous as fuck, I heard that from other neighbours. She was eying up the guy I was seeing when he was buzzing in and when she saw me come down to meet him she gave me the stinkiest stink eye ever) blasted his music so loudly my walls would shake (seemingly only when i had to study). It only stopped when a family member who shall remain nameless suggested to the super that (s)he would snap the guy’s neck if he didn’t cut the shit. Even NGF, as big as he is, wouldn’t fuck with this family member 😛

OP, some people are just FUCKED UP.

  7. NGF, sorry, for some strange reason I’m going through a long case of “common sense”. I will try to combat this.
