I had this rule when I was dating; if I did not feel that I would be willing to offer some form of commitment to the guy I was dating, I must dump him before the 2 year mark was reached. It just didn’t make sense to me to drag on a relationship that was going nowhere. 7 years is a long time. I know a woman who waited that long for her b/f to ask her to marry her, and he never did. When finally she left him, I think everyone was happy for her.

Then the OP should have communicated clearly about when during the 7 years the cheating became knowledge instead of relying upon ESP to communicate that fact because it reads as if they knew all along. Real geniuses think before they speak, ‘thank’ you.
