If you see me on the dance floor with my eyes closed, head down and body swaying…please do not grab my hand, snapping me out of my trance or begin “sexy” dancing all up on me, making me uncomfortable. I love to dance. I do not want to be your new best gay boyfriend. —Private Dancer

  1. If I saw you on the dance floor with your eyes closed, head down and swaying away, I’d say you’re on crack/meth/loopy-loonie pills and ignore ya!

  2. I wrestled with the thought of going to a pub alone for weeks but, said fuck it and went to *corner here in Dart..At first I was afraid of looking like a whore,a lone woman sitting at the bar on a Saturday night having a draft.
If a man can do it why can’t a woman, right? Fuck it, yea women can go to a pub alone for a beer…I didn’t speak with anyone and refused “free” drinks from guys….I didn’t bother anyone and certainly didn’t feel anyone up on a dance floor.

  3. if you are out there by yourself, then i would figure something is wrong mentally with you. i have only ever seen a lone person on a dance area. and they were close to band, listening or waiting to request a song.

  4. For God’s sakes Ivan, why don’t you just sit down and have a beer like everyone else?

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  5. Yeah that would indicate to me that you are looking for attention. Who in their right mind would stand and sway with eyes closed on a dancefloor alone? You. You are crying for attention so if someone comes up and joins you I guess that is the message they are getting too. Whatever. That is totally weird in my books.

  6. They probably had considerably less than the traditional balloon’s width between them though, wogdog. That’s H-e-double hockey sticks territory right there.

  7. If you must dance, just go downtown early OP. I’ve taken to going to clubs at around 11:00/11:30 and leaving by 12:30/1:00. It’s enough for me and usually very very few people are on the dance floor. Hell I’ve even gone to the Dome at that time then left as soon and the herds showed.

  8. I think this gent wants to be SEEN dancing alone and LEFT dancing alone. I’m not sure of the psychology behind it, some lame attempt to make the world his own and everybody else an audience in his theatre.

  9. But trood, “All the world’s indeed a stage and we are merely players, performers and portrayers. Each another’s audience outside the gilded cage.”
