You frumped me and it really sucked. Being dumped by a friend is almost worse than being dumped by a boyfriend or girlfriend sometimes. Now you want to be friends again and while I’m willing to do that I wish you wouldn’t assume everything is going to automatically go back to normal. I love you but I need some time because everything that went down was pretty shitty. I hesitate to jump back into where we were because I’m afraid I’ll get frumped again. —Jaded & Frumped

  1. How do you dump friends?? It seems to me that by definition friends can’t be “frumped”. Sure you grow up, grow apart… but if you’re being “dumped”, then you have the wrong kind of friendship on the go.

And FRUMED – WTF? I’m not old, but I’ve never heard this term before? Did OP make it up?

  2. Don’t waste your time OP. Real friends stick by you, and the one you describe sounds like a douche. Throw them a french fry and watch them roll to the curb.

  3. Friends grow apart…you don’t need to talk to them every day to reassure your friendship. You just need to always be there when they need you and put in an effort to be there to celebrate in their special times. But people do have other priorities. But if this friend actually de-friended you…then don’t go back. Unless you deserved it.

  4. This happened to me once…the exact same situation!

I forgave the person though and pretended it didn’t happen because there were circumstances beyond their control at play.

It wasn’t easy, but things are back to normal now 🙂 It’ll just take some time, OP.

  5. Watch this fair-weather friend, OP – you’re bound to get bounced again so perhaps you should concentrate your efforts on other friends who would appreciate you more.

  6. shit o.p., are you a female? from the sound of this bitch, i would say you were. so, you got fucked, trucked, and unloaded, hell it happens all the time. that’s why there are fuck buddies out there. just sayin.

  7. go back into the friendship with a different set of rules, expectations and criteria (no rules, no expectations and a cooler friendship)

Don’t give them your whole heart. Give them your acquaintanceship and go from there.

  8. i’m sorry, i don’t get this…being in the wpp program, i don’t have many friends^^^
