there is nothing to fear beyond those two steps leading to the back of the bus. there’s just more bus back there. so when it’s standing room only, please, please move to the back of the bus instead of bunching up in the front until the driver has to herd you to the back, like back-phobic cattle.

I am pretty understanding of most things on the bus, but when someone hangs out by the door in the way as more people get on like they have no choice (usually middle aged men with no mobility issues) and then sigh when someone bumps into them. I just don’t understand it.
Thank you OP, my thoughts exactly. The driver should not have to herd passengers. If the front is filling up, please kindly stand in the back until it isn’t necessary anymore. Passengers will appreciate this.
