They are not only confined to call centres. These types of so-called workers are everywhere.
friend, first off, you will probly get the diry end of the stick, second, who gives a flying giant fuck, about these types of assholes in the workplace. you do your job, and to fuck with everyone else. unless this this jerkwad is deffinately doing something to hinder you, forget it, and just get on with your life.
This could be said about a few people I work with… haha.
LS, yeah, doing your job and moving along is fine. That’s more or less what I do, but it’s still fucking annoying knowing that you’re putting in loads more work than some other useless asshole who’s getting paid the same as you and doing waaaaaaaaay less. And I know, I know, “shut up and find a new job, blah blah blah, yack yack yack”. Whatever. Lol. It’s about the principle — even if “that’s life”.

jdp21, don’t take me wrong here, i used to work for a.b.c., one of the worst cleaning companies in this area, scab wages, lots of work, and no one doing their fair share. i litterally had to do the jobs of 4 people, and got paid only for mine. that’s when i got finally fed up, and said fuck you. i truly understand the fact that sme assholes get away with shit, because they suck asses of the higher ups. and that is usually what galls me the most. why the fuck should i or anyone, do someone else’s job for them, if they are quite able to do it themselves, but are too fucking lazy to do so. again i say fuck them all, and try to move on to something better, if able to. there are lots of jobs out there, just waiting for the right, able person to fill them. go for it and have a good life.
Yeah… the unfortunate thing about my co-workers is that they are there because 1) they’re “cute” and 2) they’re charismatic… it’s so annoying, because I look like the asshole (to some) because I’m not willing to have a 5-minute conversation with every customer when the line-up is out the door. I’m nice, I take their order, I smile, I say thanks, every once in a while I throw a small joke their way. If I have time to go out of my way to chat it up, I’ll do it. These people… yeah, they’re nice. But everything else about their job, they suck at. So much… lol.
Some days I want to quit, some I don’t. I enjoy the benefits and convenience that comes with my job, as well as some of my co-workers (clearly not all of them), so it’s a tough decision.
