Please, for god sakes, stop telling me that I “don’t sound too good” every other morning when I come to work. My voice is raspy when I get up, I can’t help it. I am not getting up two hours earlier so I don’t sound raspy in the morning, nor will I do vocal warm ups to goto this daily shit show and be told I don’t sound or look good. If I was sick, I wouldn’t be at work. Is this some way of trying to suck up and act like you think I am coming to work sick all the time and being a trooper? Ugh…

This one annoys the hell out of me too. I have quite a deep voice, and it is extra gravelly in the morning, often compounded by longstanding sinus issues. I can be a bit of a foghorn.Every day – “are you coming down with something?”, “do you have a frog in your throat?”, “oh you should take care of that”…all with sincere concern. Which is nice, but…These people have known me for four and a half years; they should have figured it out by now.
