This is Dartmouth’s time, and on the issue of development, there must be no delay, hesitation or compromise with our purpose. We cannot, we must not, refuse developers who wish to make sizable investments in our community. We must realize it is our duty to be involved in the process, to lobby politicians and developers for changes we would like to see. We must take ownership of our fair city as we all realize the potential it has.
And we ought not, cannot and must not wait another month before we get started. We have already waited 260 years and more and the time for waiting is gone. So I ask you to join me in working to advance the important discussion on development in Dartmouth.
But even if we influence one development forward, the overall battle will not be over. What we need here in Dartmouth is a larger movement which reaches into every neighbourhood of our city. It is the effort of Dartmouthians to secure for themselves the full blessings of life through sensible forward-thinking urban development. This is our cause. We must overcome the crippling legacy of the very vocal, small-minded minority.
And we shall overcome. —Dartmouthy

yes dartmouthy, it is way over time that both dartmouth and halifax sides started some new major developements. yeah sure, we have old town charm, but that doesn’t bring in 21st. century bucks. now is the time to really get going. and maybe after mr. ineffectual is gone in the election, something can get moving, finally.
let them put up their steel and glass monstosities, who fucking cares. as long as the tax payer doesn’t get the hook end of it. but. i’m leaving n.s, for awhile tomorrow, and when i get back, things will still be the same old shit. there has been a lot of work done down south, and a lot of new buildings going up. maybe this province should take a good gander at that. see ya, shit town.
The first tall building built in HRM should hold a free fall competition by launching all the heritage wankers off the top to kersplat onto the view from the hill goolie lickers.

Well, you best put the word out to rid yourselves of old “McCrusty” in the next council election, or you may end up with scortched earth from global warming before you see any significant advancements in development.
You want them to pave paradise and put up a parking lot?
At least you don’t have a hill that blocks each and every piece of potential development that is suggested, some of which can actually be good for the city.
