Yesterday I decided to take the ferry over to Dartmouth to go to the new farmer’s market in the old Value Village building. When I arrived I noticed a serious lack of action and a big sign on the door saying “opening July 11th”..which is fine and dandy, but in the coast it said “Farmer’s Market now open”. Just wanted to let everyone know that it is definitely not open yet.

The Coast said no such thing. I wrote the blurb myself, and it included the July 11 opening date:

Owned.
Yes in that article it does say that it opens on July 11th but in this weeks issue, there is an advertisement that says the Farmer’s market is now open. Not a big deal, but that’s where the confusion came from.

Ads are the responsibility of the advertiser.
I’d normally agree LOUKAS! but I’ve seen situations where a business provides both pre-opening and grand-opening ad text to newspapers and an error results in the paper publishing the wrong ad with the wrong information.
This guy moved back his opening date, from last weekend to July 11. I have no idea what ads are running in the paper, and don’t want to know— to maintain editorial independence, I have no idea what the ad people are doing, and the ad people have no idea what I’m doing. He–the owner– obviously bought the ad when he had the previous opening, and never changed it.
Heck, worse than can happen is that a few ppl don’t ever come back to the place but I’m sure many more will figure something must be worth delaying the opening a few weeks and will show up on the 11th. I’m looking forward to walking the 5 minutes from my apartment to check it out!
You read the Coast???
they have to air out the old clothing smell first….
