A big ol DROP DEAD to the grown brat who made a mess of the library bathroom today. Is it intentional or what?!?! The stench and the, erm, “floatables” in the toilet were bad enough, but I haven’t a clue why or how you left that big puddle of piss in front of the toilet. What’s worse is that the bathroom is a unisex, single-room type, so that as one leaves the bathroom anyone waiting to use it afterwards will suspect it was them. I had an opportunity to travel to an Asian country last year (my first trip outside of N.A.) and even the subway station bathrooms were spotless. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE HOLY BEJESUS GROW UP IF I FIND YOU I WILL PEE IN YOUR HOUSE

  1. could have been worse!!
I once walked into a washroom where you could see shitty boot prints and shitty hand prints everywhere, from the toilette to both door handles that led into the horrid mess 😛
felt bad for the poor guy who had to clean that up!!

  2. In some places, the toilet is literally just a hole in the ground. No, seriously.

I know the washroom the OP means, and while it is indeed overused, there are plenty of other under-utilized washrooms throughout DalTech which provide a much nicer washroom experience. Just go downstairs and use the washrooms on the right, for example.

so if I can’t hold it enough to get to another washroom…. drop the bizzzzomb (pinch out a steaming loaf as it were) … and don’t clean everyone else’s mess before vacating, you automatically think it was me pissing like a blind, ADHD ridden child…. if that were the case then why WOULDN’T I intentionally miss and earn the claim you’ve bestowed upon me.

  4. Last time I was at Pearson someone had a major accident in one of the women’s cans in terminal 3. There was shit all over the floors, stalls, sinks and a pair of shit soaked panties on the floor in the stall. And the stench? Blech.

They weren’t too quick to clean it up either, because it was hard and crusty so lord knows how long it’d been sitting there. And I had to clean the bottom of my luggage and the wheels with bleach when I got to my destination because…*shudder*

  5. that is ironic PK i just flew outa term. 3 and it’s looking really ratty washrooms wise they shoulda tak’n some of their new term. decorating budget and put it into term. 3 ammenities

  6. better they didn’t have any free drinks pour moi cause i’d probably be in a dive bar in the eastside half cut and outta of a olym. gig right now:)

  7. No porter last time I flew, gidget. Next time though! They have a spiffy lounge at the city centre AP in TO, I’ve heard! And they fly to NL and Ottawa from HFX! Yay!

  8. “O how I miss the Asian toliet….but not really.”

Actually, FA, I’ve heard that the Asian toilet makes it easier to do yo’ number 2 business because of the way the body/bowel is positioned when you squat. People who have problems with constipation are often told to try putting a stool [heh] in front of the can (western-style toilet) and to put their feet up on it to aid in the evacuation of feces from the colon.

  9. I don’t get why people like porter so much. They don’t have direct flights to Toronto and the prices aren’t that competitive. They are a little better now that they fly more frequently, but AC has the best Halifax-Toronto service, IMO. Getting to downtown from Pearson isn’t that hard either. There’s the TTC for 3 bucks, and the Airport express bus for under $20 that will take you to all the major downtown hotels. Maybe I’ll give them a try again sometime, but I was underwhelmed last time I flew Porter.

    by Gidget

    1) They fly to Center Island – right downtown. Ferry and free shuttle to Union Station means access to anywhere transit goes in far less time than landing at Pearson.
    2) Leather seats with TONS of leg room
    3) Indirect flights means you get 2 free beer/meals/snacks instead of one. YAY!
    4) Small airport on Toronto End means way less crowds and cranky Toronto-ites (and I used to be one, so I can say that). 🙂

I actually find them cheaper than any other airline, but perhaps I have been lucky with seat sales? They are certainly cheaper on last-minute flights – I paid $1500 to get back here for a funeral using AC, and $350 using Porter.

  11. I’d fly AC, Miles, but I’d actually like my luggage to arrive at the same time as I do (or, you know, at all).

Last time I flew to TO was late 2008. Getting DT from pearson (and back to pearson from DT) wasn’t awful and didn’t take that long, but I HAD to get the shuttle (or pay $50 for a cab) because TTC doesn’t start running until 9am on Sundays (wtf is up with THAT?). I also had to contend with a bunch of douchey mcdouchebags at the line up to check my luggage who apparently have never heard of the concept of “online check in.” I get kind of mean in airports (subconscious anxiety ftw!), so the less agitation I have to encounter, the better it is for everyone soooo CC’s probably the better choice 😛

  12. gotta one way TO to Van. for $149 on west jet that’s pretty cheap and it was actually 15 min early arriving

  13. sorry to interrupt but what is that miles??? have fun martym, maybe when you come back we can teach them how to make croissants at 2 if by c

  14. aren’t croissants mostly butter?
thus making people who put butter on them just a little overkill…

  15. What is what Paingirl?

Kitty…I fly Halifax-Toronto about 10 times a year and haven’t had a luggage problem with either AC or WJ in the 5 years I’ve been doing it. I fly about 60% AC/40% WJ. But I do hear AC is a bitch to deal with if you are one of the unfortunate ones to get your luggage lost.

  16. zZz…I don’t know where your from.
But there is no such thing as TOO MUCH BUTTER.
There can just never be enough, so it isn’t possible to have too much.
Saying there’s too much butter, is like saying there’s too much bacon… just isn’t possible.

  17. Well that would be the point Perv, its public, for the use of all, not the abuse of some. It shouldn’t look and smell as if the 3rd Guards Shock Army bivouaced there on the road to Berlin

  18. PetervG, Tovaritsch. I may have misinterpreted point of your post because of 2 much Stoli, too little sleep and sabotage perpetrated by cabal of Revanchist-Trotskyite translators who have now been shot. Many, many apologies and if you are ever in Novoyachelyabinsk you may have free use of family ox, Iosif Vissarionovitch and my youngest sister who does not have name because she is only a voman.

  19. excellent, he can have the voman plough the field while he has a go with the Ox.
    ain’t life grand!

and More… there is such a thing…. after watching how croissants were made and then seeing this chef stick an entire knob of butter for one bite, I nearly vomited.

That’s right, I can watch Bear Grylls drink his own urine… eat raw hearts….fish….steer

and yet butter on a croissant was the sight that broke me.

  20. Hey ZZZ, 3rd Guards Shock Army, 3 times Heroes Of Soviet Union , twice awarded Order of Lenin, cannot be wrong.

  21. yes… that’s nice….
no no, you stay over there in your corner you stark raving lunatic….
