I just read the bitch on LTWWB about Dead beat dads. Thought I`d send some love to the dads who do more than just pay child support…
To the dads who try and show up when they can, to the ones who have no idea what to do with a toddler but still take them to the ball fields to watch games, and construction sites to talk about tractors and excavators.
To the ones you see at BK & McD`s play lands.
To all the dads who have no clue about sun block and fevers and Tylenol …but will sing the alphabet till they`re blue in the face, and jump in puddles for hours… Thank you for trying.
Us single mothers know & appreciate how lucky we are to share our children with you. (You’re not perfect…but you’re better then most…lol) —RC

Two thumbs wayyyyy up!
🙂
I like this one. My ex is doing an awesome job raising his little boy while dealing with a ridiculous deadbeat mom. The really great single dads don’t get enough credit.
🙂
I like everything stated here except this:
“To the dads who try and show up when they can,”
Dads have an obligation to show up EVERYtime. Trying to show up when they can is not good enough when a young child is left waiting in disappointment. Reap what you sow dads. Years later, when wondering why your now adult child now has no time for you, is too late to wish you had done things differently. No child asked to be born, that is the parent’s responsibility, but they do deserve all the love and attention required to nurture them once they do arrive in this world. If you aren’t willing to assume this responsibility then then keep it in your pants!
Thank fuck I’m not a dad and I hope to never be one though apparently it’s “great” and “unexplainable” and “magical.” Off to the vasectomy clinic for me!
My dad did a decent job as a “single father” raising me without all the support and sympathy that single moms tend to get. He had to go through a whole heap of shit with the courts and Mom’s family and society in general while getting nothing in return, except his perfect little angel children, of course.
It’s not the end of the world for a kid when a parent doesn’t show up sometimes either, come on. Plenty of times my dad or mom left me on my own and I did fine! Helped me grow up stronger if anything. Kids are just turning into spoiled little pussies these days. Kids these days…
