Shit floats. Mediocrity, like cockroaches, can survive a nuclear war.
That’s right, the biggest waste of space remains at the top. Lucky us. It’s bullshit.

So which 16 turds get to float to the top?
Does it matter? HRM council is like a fucking Hydra. Cut off the Kelly, there’s a Sloane or Uteck in it’s place.
Hey Zeus, can you spare a couple of well-placed thunderbolts?
reported…. bird’ll get to it when she gets to it.
Likely post lunch break.
Never post bitches/loves when under-caffienated. Thanks!
Thanks un-elected, non-accountable, board full of political appointees!
And thanks Don Mills for your oh-so accurate poll!
I’m amazed that there weren’t riots when the Commonwealth Games that the “vast majority” of citizens wanted, according to your poll, didn’t happen.
What a shit show.
URB’s reasoning “If virtually all of these comparator cities can run their governance models with a much higher ratio (up to 38,500 per councillor compared to 16,200 in HRM), the board sees no reasonable basis for HRM being significantly lower,” So Why did the URB give councilors raises if they represent less citizens and smaller areas? From what I understand, their reasoning, other people do it. No question to why or how they do it.
Has the URB become another group of politicians, basing decisions on public opinion and not the situation at hand? Only this time they are an appointed board and not elected.
The Mayor should have been pushing and resolving this issue, if its outcome is based in public opinion.
