I was at a coffee place this morning getting an iced drink, I’ve been feeling under the weather and it really feels good on my throat. But to the woman in front of me, shut your fucking trap and get your order. Learn to get it right the first time, I have never waited for one person for that long. The worker doesn’t need to hear about your big family Christmas, order your hot chocolate and get the fuck out and NEVER try to butt in front of me in line again for the sandwich you forgot to order. To the worker, you are not paid to socialize, and to the rest of the building stop washing the same space of countertop and wait on customers. Me nor the guy behind me were impressed. —Pissed off Customer

  1. OB you sound like a douch….one of the many I have encountered around the SG area during this very festive season. Merry Christmas…happy New Year

  2. OB, you need a raw steak to gnaw on.

Yes, you’re not feeling well but is that any excuse to act like a big wailing baby because people like to be pleasant at Christmas? How much time did this take off your precious day anyway? Five minutes?

  3. take a deep breath and try enjoying the season and spreading a bit of the holiday cheer yourself. Like was just mentioned, how much time did you really loose out of your day? Four minutes? Calm down and carry on.

  4. I have to agree with the OB. Nothing worse than a long winded conversation when there are customers in line waiting. Say hello, give your order, then say thank you and BTW have your fucking money out, at any time of the year. I especially love those who come at a busy hour (whether a coffee shop or a bank) with huge orders and transactions.

  5. This totally sounds like my place. Sorry, OP, but the morning workers are nice and sociable and there typically isn’t a long line of people waiting in the morning. A lot of the people they get are regulars and those customers like to talk. It might be good customer service to be speedy, but it’s not good customer service to basically tell another customer to shut the hell up so you can move on, especially if all they’re doing is talking politely.

  6. I can go either way on this. Sometimes it doesn’t bother me, because I’m often chatty with servers, but I try to keep it brief if I know other people are in line. It can be frustrating when you’re just trying to get a cup of coffee and it seems like it’s taking forever.

In the end though, I’d rather people be friendly and chatty than bitter and cranky. And it’s nice this time of year that people are more open and cheery. I like it.

  7. hey pissed, then you haven’t been here too long. this is the land of slomo for fucking near everything, except when the government wants your tax dollars.
everything else is done verrrrry slowly, and the bullshit that leads up to it. aafter all, if you got your order in a flash, then you would be bitching that they didn’t take the time to make sure it was right, or they fucked up somehow. guess with you, it’s a no win deal hey.

  8. I kind of agree with the theme of this bitch — there’s nothing more annoying when you’re in a long line up and someone is at the cash having a full out social conversation with the cashier.

Take the order, wrap up the polite chit chat and move on to the next customer!

and yes: bah fucking humbug. humanity can bite me today.

  9. JDP: do you work at a place where there are delicious gingerbread lattes priced at 4.05 for a medium? *hint*

  10. I was merely suggesting that if you don’t like people using the word “fail” in a grammatically incorrect context, then perhaps the internet is not the place for you.

  11. OMGGLWTFCWAJBFN? LHHASKTOAAJBH.

There was a whole lot of that going on, so I figured to add in some new ones. See if you can guess wtf (<---) I'm saying! 😀

  12. May you impatient souls be visited by three Ghosts – The Ghost of Bad Relationships, the Ghost of Hysterical Parents and the Ghost of Indifferent Service.

  13. 15 minutes? Yeah that cannot possibly be my place then, because I refuse to believe it could take that long. Lol.

  14. Totally off-topic, but OMG I love your name Orgasmatron. Rofl. I own two of those silly things. 😀

…I think this is the part where I would fail @ customer service with my idle chatter. 🙁

  15. If i have a bank transaction i need to go in for, i go at the most convenient time for ME, not YOU, Bro Tim. If i spent as much time thinking of YOUR convenience and placing it ahead of mine, i might as well wear a doormat hanging around my neck!

  16. Considering your gingerbread lattes are pretty much orgasmic, I’m sure we’ve perhaps seen each other at some point in time this season, jdp, lol. In fact, I’m drinking one right now along with a delicious cranberry orange scone.

I might have to leave starbucks for you, if you keep these shananigans up!
