Nothing is more frustrating than beeing nice enough to let someone cross the road and they walk so friggin slow that they almost fall asleep……if pedestrians respected motorirst, Maybee motorists would return the favour !!!

Being nice enough to follow the rules of the road?? It’s not BEING NICE, it’s obeying the traffic laws, and I intentionally go slow sometimes just to piss you off as I am made to feel like YOU ARE DOING ME a favor by allowing me to cross the street!!
I guess that extra 15 seconds in your warm, dry, comfortable car must really be an inconvinience.
Fuck you, OP, from all of us who can’t move as fast as you’d like.
Way to go people, that extra idling time is just burning gas and putting more exhaust into the air. Way to show those drivers! Grrr!Seriously though, some people do take their sweet time. I sure as fuck don’t when I’m crossing, mostly because I don’t trust drivers not to run my ass over.I would like to point out that the OP never mentioned they where letting people cross at a crosswalk. Jaywalkers taking their sweet time should be worth points.
Pete….Most people don’t even take the time to realize that every intersection is a crosswalk whether the lines are drawn in or not, so MOST of the time when you think people are jay-walking they probably aren’t and yeah the extra idleing GIMMIE A FUKING BREAK, like they don’t idle anywhere else except when I’m taking my time crossing the street FUK YOU PETE!!
hey, pete, there is a strong possibility that you in your car, could have been car pooling, you could have walked, you could have bought a car that runs on shit other than gas, or you have/going to a drive thru….do not blame the 15 seconds of fuel burned waiting for me to cross the road in the cold or the snow, or the rain, while you sit in the wamth of your car inconvienced. If you want to blame anything on pollution, you better have not every been thru a drive thru…. you would have emitted far more fumes getting that $1.25 coffee pal.
Actually I walk to work. I was just being a bit of a dick playing devils adddvocate with the 15 sec of idling comment, as that’s a frequent bitch, that people idle their cars a lot. I’m just saying I don’t slowly cross the road because most people are idiots, and don’t know that there is an implied crosswalk at an intersection. And while they’re screwing around with their radio, talking on their (hands free) cell phone, or otherwise not paying attention, it’s easy for them to run your ass down, which gets more likely the longer you take to walk across a street.I do agree with the OP that there are lots of times when people just step out into traffic and expect you to be able to stop on a dime. And lots of times it’s actually fast to let a car go by and cross in the big break behind them then wait for them to stop. For the record, lots of jaywalkers definitely take their sweet time in and around downtown. That’s just clearly a dick move.
oops, that got a bit mangled… I meant to say that..I do agree with the OP though. And there…my bad.
Today WALKING to work, through a set of lights that I have bitched on here about before, I nearly got run down, while I HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY in a crosswalk and no I wasn’t running across the street but I wasn’t taking my dear sweet time either, I walked at my regular pace and then the ASSHOLE decided to curse and swear and beep AND HE WASI N THE WRONG!!
Respect drivers and MAYBE they will return the favor? Sounds about right…also sounds like a pretty shitty deal.I think its so funny to when drivers try to use the idle time thing against people who are not even driving…You crossing the road on foot makes me idle my car…so its obvious that the pedestrian is less environmentally conscious than the driver? And OP is nothing in your life is more frustrating than waiting for someone to cross the road while you drive home? Really??? Sounds pretty nice.
well, considering that a crosswalk exists from every CURB TO CURB on ANY road, youd be surprising how little drivers actually know this. i get to cross coburg, and windsor almost daily, and NO ONE EVER stops unless i am waving my hands at a marked crosswalk, and even then, i had people on cellphones drive within a foot in front of me not even slowing down.I applaud the motorists who do their part, and slow down, you are but a minority. a well karma-ed one at that, to the rest of you no-slowing-down ‘nice people’ my finger will tell you what i think.
GrindCore…I cross Windsor and Connaught EVERY DAY welcome to my little slice of hell!!
