I can’t believe how many professionals (i.e. intelligent) people are sneezing/coughing directly into their hands and going about their business shaking hands, etc. If I can teach my 3 year old daughter to use her krelbow, I’m sure you can manage to keep your phlegm to yourselves too! —Not at all a germophobe, but that’s disgusting

This is a huge pet peeve of mine as well. I even had a dental hygienist do this recently as she was literally working in my mouth. Health professionals especially should know better.
Professional is not a synonym for intelligent nor hygienic.
The number of “professional” people at my work that leave the restroom without washing their hands….ICK!!
Professional people are not necessarily intelligent. In fact most people are not intelligent.
The ‘elbow sneeze’ only came into existence about a decade ago – what did you think people did before then? Sneezed in the hands rather than into the air. Were there mass pandemics over the last 50 years as a result of this? Hell, no.
Here’s a fun fact: did you know that people who bite their nails are far less prone to allergies? A little dirt never hurt anyone; in fact, it might even boost your immune system. All those anti-bacterial products on the market do a body more harm than good.
TTFB I thought people used to carry around hankerchiefs or at least a crumpled up kleenex at the bottom of their purse.
We can’t control others, only ourselves. Frequent hand washing is a must.
My bad, MKULTRA, we never used hankies or Kleenex for sneezing in Hillbilly Hollow. Just used scooped out lobster tails if we had ’em. Toilet paper spools if we didn’t. The spools were more fun for snot rocketing.
Which body part is the “krelbow” again, I seem to have forgotten spellcheck again 🙁
I would like to see our society move away from handshakes all together. Everytime some asshole tries to break my hand to show how “firm” his dumb handshake is, I want to break their nose to show how firm my hand really is.
Maybe it should be mandatory to wear a hat. And when you sneeze you have to take off your hat and sneeze into it.
