Why do SO many people in this city SMOKE! and WHY do they have to blow their smoke right in my FACE.

You have the right to destroy your health, but not to destroy mine. Be considerate!

  1. Smokers USED to have a place inside where they could go, heck the air could even be filtered, Now thanks to government, you can’t smoke inside, even in a properly identified and air filtered room. This wasn’t good enough Next all the smokers would crowd just outside the doors, once again, there’s rules about how close to a door way you can smoke. Whats left results in your bitch. Smokers outside clogging up sidewalks making it even harder for people to avoid second hand smoke.I don’t smoke FYI

  2. My god people, suck it up. I have asthma. I don’t smoke. Smoke isn’t instant cancer. Deal with it, you health nuts. It’s funny you complain only about smokers but not the hundreds of cars driving downtown emitting thick carbon monoxide.

  3. Please. For the absolute infinite love of GOD, and all that is holy, stop beating this dead horse. The horse, it’s dead. DEAD. It’s beaten to a bloody mushy pulp that is merely a faint remnant of what a horse should even look like, for frig sake.I’m not even a smoker, and I’m sick of hearing this bitch. Fuck.

  4. ah yeah Viego… there are different extremes of asthma. Mine is extremely bad and so I end up using my puffer everyday. I complain about smoke because I use to be a smoker and cigerettes are what trigger my asthma. BTW, everyone has different triggers as well. So yours may start with perfume but I’m not affected by it. If you want to call me a health nut for wanted to be able to breath, then I’m fucking insane! =)

  6. I’m with Beedge – the horse is dead, he’s passed on! This horse is no more! He has ceased to be! He’s expired and gone to meet hs maker! He’s a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! He’s pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He’s off the twig! He’s kicked the bucket, He’s shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-HORSE!! (Apologies to Monty Python)

  7. yes but without this, bitches about bikes and cars and general troll poking WHAT WOULD we all have to do at work?possibly work. and THAT, gentlemen, is NOT a reality I want to live in 🙂

  8. Nicole you should wear one of those SARS masks, or something stronger. Perhaps I could sell you a bubble. You could be bubble-girl. If you chewed gum you could be bubble gum girl, that has a nice ring to it. Elvis you kick ass. Look how far the non-smokers and the cancer society and who-ever have taken this BullShit. Nothing will be good enough until nobody smokes. Which is the next logical step. Ban smoking and the sale of cigarettes. But until then you all (y’all) can shut the fuck up about smoking.

  9. Viego raises a good point about the cars. If cigarette smoke is blown right in your face you will notice it more, but you probablly breathe in more toxins from car fumes.

  10. You know, if you replace the sentence, “why do people in this city smoke so much?” with “why do people in this city wear so much perfume?”, I would be willing to make a small wager that there would be universal agreement, accompanied by personal anecdotes about perfume offenders. Now I’m not coming down on either side of the argument. I’m just stirring the pot a bit, pointing out an apparent inconsistency. There are a lot of similarities between wearing perfume and smoking. The smell of both perfume and tobacco smoke is offensive to a lot of people. Both can cause illness in a tiny segment of the population. Both are unneccessary and selfish intrusions into other people’s space. Both are legal and socially acceptable in many circles. Almost any slur you can make against smokers can also be applied to perfume wearers, and vice versa. (With the exception of litter, I guess. Smokers have that one wrapped up.)So why is it, fellow sockpuppets, that the over-perfumed are universally reviled, while so many jump to the defence of smokers?

  11. Here’s an idea. Why doesn’t OP move out of the way instead of standing in front of smokers and complaining. There are areas in this city that do have fresh air.
