This is for the jerks driving cars and trucks on this trail between Bayers Lake and Lakeside.

I’m waiting with my camera and cellphone. Only a matter of time. —S.J

  1. Contact the city and request that barriers/posts be installed at the entrance/exit of the trail. That trail was not paved for cars.

  2. Just be a bit careful when you take your pictures. Odds are that when you do, that you and the driver of the car or truck will be the only people around.

I will direct your attention to this article: http://www.halifaxnewsnet.ca/News/2010-09-…

The problem is known, and the powers that be are trying to do something about it. You can take your pictures, at some risk to yourself, but under the circumstances you’re not telling the authorities anything they don’t already know.

  3. This should never have been converted to a trail system…light rail would have served the public so much better.

  4. Yeah, they could have financed the light rail system with the gobs of money they stand to make with the new convention centre. FFS.

  5. I agree that light rail would have been a better solution. existing rail lines through the city means you reduce a significant cost barrier to a light rail system. Too bad they are now removed.

  6. Sebastian – I did contact the city and they are putting in gates.

Realist – Thanks for the warning. What I will be telling the cops is the license number of automobiles driving on that trail.
