To the chain store selling imported furniture and panels, you need to know that I’ve visited various locations and it’s always the same—staff so apathetic that anemia would be a step upward. They rarely talk to customers, and usually gather around the counter, chatting. Maybe I should write a letter to the company, who knows? So if you recognize yourself as one of these employees, wake up! It’s no fun to visit a store where the staff look depressed and exhausted… oh, and by the way, the chat about your latest date wasn’t cool. I wouldn’t have wanted to see you again, either. It’s not just limited to that chain store. Shop online….it’s easier.
Speaking from experience, about 75 % of customers completely ignore you when you speak to them, and as for being bored, I know when I was a sales associate at a store that may or may not be that store (it has 40% off sales on the curtains every few weeks), we were bored! There isn’t enough work for everyone when it is staffed with at least two people at all times. Plus, they never trusted us to do anything like rearranging things and what not unless they specifically told us to.
So while I understand that you may be getting poor service, try asking for help, that’s usually all it takes.
Minimum wage with no benefits hardly inspires or motivates. As well, in order to avoid such demands, many companies don’t even offer full-time hours–they just hire a lot of part-timers. Again, it’s hard to care when your employer doesn’t.
I say write company but change the spin you put on it.
Honestly i hate getting harassed and would avoid stores that do (the smaller electronic store for one), i hate the commision bullcrap that forces you to linger around me like a bad fart.
You could stroll in with an airhorn, give it a couple of short blasts and yell: ‘IS EVERYBODY HAPPY???’ (Confetti optional)
yeah, who knows what they are saying about you, behind your back. can we say paranoid, or is it just me, that thinks that you think you are someone important. that everyone has to bow and scrape before you. you are one dizzy fuck, if you think you really matter to them.
