I know its a concert but not everyone can stand front stage center! I do not stand for 4 hours to have you (a drunken fool) come and wiggle your way in front of me and block my view! Have some respect and claim a spot and stick to it, If you go take a piss than you have lost your spot you can not have your spot saved this is not a lunch line. AND TO ALL YOU HIGH SCHOOLERS! if you really love Sir Paul than watch the show! This is not a high school dance! so put down your Mango flavored rum act like your some what mature and have some respect for Sir Paul. Don’t waste Mommy and Daddy’s hard earned money so you can go to a concert piss everyone off and tell your friends about how wasted you were when we all know your faking it so you can get some attention. Leave Sir Paul to the real fans! I believe your concert is coming up with Akon and slutlicious!

Oh my gosh – I hear you. I arrived at 1:00 pm. I ended up lucking into a fabulous spot about 50 feet from the stage. I didn’t eat…I didn’t drink…because I didn’t want to lose my spot, and I surely wasn’t being rude and obnoxious and pushing my way back through the crowd. There was this one ass (who was about 6’1…I’m 5’4) left to “piss and grab a beer”. He came back during the latter part of JPE, and came barreling through…he gets behind me and says “can I get through?”, to which I reply “No, I’m sorry, there’s no room, and you’ll block my view”. He proceeds to say “well f*ck this, I’ll just go through you, you goddamn b*tch”, and proceeds to side check me, throwing/shoving me to the side, and barrels on through, cursing his way ahead, saying to all the people in the immediate area (who were inadvertendly shoved as well), “it’s not my fault, that stupid b*tch wouldn’t let me through”.
Seriously. Lovin’ the “Peace and Love”.
I hate concert hoppers who are there only to get drunk, say they were there, and take up valuable space.
The same thing happened in the ‘chair area’…those of us who arrived early enough (before Sierra took the stage)to secure a good spot were over-run by people without chairs who simply wanted to stand in front of us, blocking the view, once PM took the stage!
GOGO festival seating.
It sucks, but there’s not much you can do about it given the fact that there are no assigned seating/spaces.
Oceanlady: wtf’d you EXPECT? Really.
This is just the shit you gotta deal with when you go to an outdoor concert with festival seating *shrug*
Guess you have to either suck it up or not go.
He was probably a jock. :p
I don’t understand why anybody would expect to sit down in a lawn chair at an event like this. Bring a chair for the long wait but be prepared to bag and shoulder it once things start. Even the oldest Beatles fan knows the difference between a soft-seater venue and festival atmosphere, silly goose, oceanlady!
I pretty much agree re:Oceanlady. It’s silly to expect someone not to stand in front of you if you’re seated and there’s space. Yeah, you got there first, but that doesn’t mean you suddenly have all this empty space in front of you reserved as well.
Blondevixen that guy sounds like a real dick. “Can I get through” …give me a break buddy. You use your eyes and if there’s no space to get through, then no, you can’t “get through.”
I never went but i can sooo relate!
it sucks being short and for somer eason the tallest person will come and stand in front of you!
I actually agree with Kay on this.
Whoa.
Nobody butts in front of me at concerts/shows or anything related. Even going to pro wrestling growing up, I’d refuse to let the stupid little kids butt in front of me when the stars made their entances – however, I usually had ringside seats.
If I’ve carved out my own little spot, I don’t move – especially if there’s no room. And usually when its the main event or headliners – there’s no room any more up front. If people ask, I tell them, “No room and I’m not moving.” If they try to cut past me – I merely plant myself firmly, puff my chest out a bit and stand with my shoulders as wide as possible – believe me, you’re not getting past me then.
Everybody seems to think that a concert/event should revolve around them and their expectations while refusing to acknowledge that other people are there too.
Halifax is really bad for idiots at events though. Fights at Virgin Fest and shoving/pushing just for giggles just ruins an experience.
Blondevixen – you should have grabbed the dude by his balls and squeezed until his eyes popped. It works.
Hey guys, did you happen to read the seating arrangement on your tickets? Oh right, because there was none because it was GENERAL ADMISSION. Obviously there was no need for the dude to be an asshole, however OP, you were definitely a bitch for not letting him through in the first place. Festival style seating can wear pretty thin, which is why I’m going to Montreal to see AC/DC, but it is what it is, and to bitch after the fact about the unavoidable circumstance is pointless.
yea kay is right dont go to a show with a lawn chair
Bahaha “slutlicious”
I have to agree with the OP on this… I kept my distance at McCartney, but I’m still covered in bruises from the Virgin Fest when drunk idiots tried to pry/shove/hip check/beat me off the baracade to get 2cm closer to the stage.
Paul….yawn. get REAL artists to play in halifax who don’t require polydent and hair plugs.
“Paul….yawn. get REAL artists to play in halifax who don’t require polydent and hair plugs.”
OMG that made my day thats funny shit
Do you mean on the Commons Andy? Ok, name some “REAL artists” that can put 50,000 butts in one place, and more specifically, new artists.
Metro Station could fill that motherfucker in a heartbeat.
LOL, NGF! I had to Google those wankers as I’ve never heard of them. You’re fucking hilarious!
LOL thanks BRoc. You should see the video they have out for “Shake It”. Dude in red jeans doing some lame ass dance.
I bet there are naive little girls (and boys) out there who believe Lady Gaga could sell out the Commons.
yeah, maybe one of them is Andy, lol
Sad thing is… Metro Station was at the Bon Jovi concert… So yea… Not many people were around when they were on stage…
