Fuck you. I’d been waiting to see this show for years, and I was so excited. first off, we waited in line for over an hour just to get in, even though everyone in the line had tickets. So at midnight we get in, and the coat check is somehow already full, even though more than half of the crowd was still outside waiting to get in. The show started, and I spent an hour getting shoved in every direction, and having people shove us on purpose, trying to ruin the night. Well goddamn it, fuck you. It worked. We spent an hour sandwiched in line in the freezing cold, only to go inside and leave within an hour. The dance floor was the most covered with broken glass that I’d ever seen in 4 years of going to clubs in Halifax… and this was the worst crowd I’ve ever ever ever had to deal with. Fuck you all. —night = ruined

Uh, Cinco – this might be breaking the “no names” policy, dude.
Meanwhile, I feel bad for OB – I actually went to a show there recently and it was awful – lots of glass (and it was still early!), bathrooms overflowing onto the floors, and just a juvenile crowd then too. Sucks to pay $ for a show then hate the atmosphere.
R2D2 is in a band?
I agree with concerts being ruined by asshats. I was at the Dutch Mason fest 2 years ago in the wheelchair. A guy jumped on top of me and said I should suck it up, because that’s the way it is. I left. I was there hours early, and Drunken Dude was decidedly rude. I used to do slam dance punk shows as an able-bodied teen. It was never mean then. Some concert goers are pretty greedy and prickish though.
Hmm, all of a sudden I’m not in a rush for those Crystal Method tickets. Why can’t the Liquor Dome crowd stick to their own scene?
crystal method? i listen to those guys in zee auto-really loud
Frig, I was there for Hey Rosetta! FFS, good east coast tunes and they were still there trashing up the place. Ugh.
ralmn, must have edited appropriately… I have no clue which this is.
I also doubt you’ve been waiting YEARS for a little, rinky-dink show…
They just took out the incriminating info, actually – it was the band name – they played this weekend, so it wasn’t hard to spot. 🙂
And that night was different from any other night downtown – How?
I hate broken glass on the dance floor. It’s because some people think it’s wise to bring open drinks filled to the brim on the dance floor. Beer bottles are okay, but whenever I see people dancing with full glasses I have to supress an urge to shove them just enough to make them spill it all over themselves before they can spill it on someone else.
***Beer bottles are okay unless you drop them, but open glasses are always bad.
jesus, if you were waiting to see them for years, then they must be has beens by now. either that or they are so old and fucked up vocally, that you wouldn’t waste your time going, anyway. just saying here.
I’d like to get Crystal Method tickets also but am a bit unsure. It’s a DJ set and not a PA which is fine, but the venue is going to be so packed up.
