To the person who was at the computer in the far corner of the computer lab at Alderney Gate Library, you seriously need to grow the fuck up. I don’t care how homophobic you are, you have NO right to call me a “homo” or “fagboy” everytime you see me, simply because I dared to use the computer next to you.

i hate when that shit happens, it’s like being smacked in the face with one of halifax’s (many) grim realities… that closet case homophobes, unsophisticated bigots and religious hicks are very much overrepresented in halifax/ns
funny, i used to see about three obviously gay dudes there, and you guys get harrassed by the young thug wannabes over and over again.considering how oftern they fight and what not, its a shame you cant say shit to them as they are the gay bashers of tomorrow. I do say this however, i have seen it come close to be a gay bash situation. I will never allow it to become this.
If incidents like this are occurring on library premises, go immediately to a member of staff and complain. Library staff have the authority to ask such people to leave and to ban them from the library for periods of time. However, they can’t act if they don’t know what’s happening. You don’t have to confront this individual directly – it’s the job of library workers to handle this kind of situation: insist that they do!
OP my apologies to you also, on behalf of techcafe. If he hadn’t derailed this thread by taking unprovoked shots at me, we wouldn’t have this kind of foolishness to deal with.Its people like that, that make this forum unpleasant at times.
