Thanks very much to the driver of the red car who, despite the fact that the crosswalk lights were flashing and I was walking in the crosswalk, tried first to continue on his way, and then when he realized I was still walking, tried to drive around me (and my dog) while going through the crosswalk and this not two hours after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Coburg Rd.
What the hell is wrong with you drivers? The roads are not highways! Unless you have sirens and flashing lights, you can’t drive like that on city streets! Take your time, watch the sidewalks and crosswalks and STOP TRYING TO HIT PEOPLE. —All Drivers Have To Walk Sometime

IT freaks me out that people have some over inflated sense of how special they are, because they’ve decided to cross the damn street.

Not that you shouldn’t be able to cross a street, just that sometimes people fuck up, people make mistakes, people are so caught up in the moment, their mistake endangers your life…so be very , very aware of that !
I cannot recall how many times I have had to slam on the brakes in Halifax, because people seem to believe a vehicle can stop on a dime. That they come up to a crosswalk & assume, they can just cross…no concern for drivers at all, totally oblivious to anything except their text message or their damn itunes !
I had a jogger almost run into the side of my truck…it was stopped over a cross walk, because people stepped out fromt he curb & I slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting them…& this jogger looking down at the sidewalk literally grabs the rack on my truck to stop themselves from running into me !

I drive, take the bus and walk. OP go shove it up your royal ass crack. Cross when it is safe, you might see the driver of the car but he/she might not see you, wait to cross. As for drivers try to pay attention. We are all human and thus none of us are perfect!
