I’ll tell you what really pisses me off. People who think just because they have a job anyone who doesn’t is scum. Your lack of compassion for the hell that addictions can bring on folks’ lives is disgusting. So YOU fuck off.
The Hell of addictions? How about the hell of working a minimum wage job in a fast food joint where you work your ass off all day just to go home to kraft dinner in your bachelor apartment. Wouldn’t I love to have a few dollars to spend on beer and VLT machines at the end of the day. So what, I am supposed to give these people some of my hard earned money so they can blow it on a VLT because “they have an addiction?” Get real.

I work too damn hard to give my money to those who waste it. I don’t mind helping those in need but clearly she wasn’t in need of anything but a cold beer and some gambling. If you think that is a necessity in life, then you are just as fucked up as she is. I can’t afford to drink, smoke and gamble so why should I or how could I afford for her to do it.

Panhandling should be treated the same as assault. I should be able to call the cops and have your sorry asses arrested, or I should be able to kick you in the face when you say anything about me not coughing up my HARD EARNED MONEY!!! To hell with squeegee punks and sign holdin’ losers with brand new brand name clothes on too! You’ve made your choices, now leave me alone!
It is really sad that there always has to be bad apples that ruin everything for everyone else. There are people out there who are trying really hard and have just been dealt a really shitty hand who won’t get any compassion or help from the general public because of assholes who stand on the corner from 6am till 6pm everyday and make more than I do after going to college and working my ass off everyday. If you have the mental and physical capability to stand there and ask people for money 12 hours a day I think you could muster up the strength to get a real job. I also have to say though, that even the people who really need a helping hand don’t have to panhandle. Our taxes and generous donations pay for services such as shelters, soup kitchens, the salvation army, YMCA and YWCA etc…just to name a few. These services are in place and this is where we should give our money because this is the only way we can be sure our hard earned money won’t be used to finance someone elses social life and “addictions”.
