Yeah, I know cyclists/car bitches are done, and I hate them too. But fuck it. For this summer I’m gonna post a bitch everytime some fucker pisses me off for no reason.
Ok, #1. Rotary, dude honks his horn as he goes by me and his female passenger calls me an idiot. The only reason I can figure they did this is because I took up a whole lane while circling the rotary. Hey, ass and bitch, did you notice that I moved directly to the right as soon as I left the rotary?
Bonus points if you can find in the DMV literature where it tells cyclists to do just that. Extra credit if you can name 1 or more places in HRM literature that instructs cyclists to do the same. —Cranky

cranky old son, it will be a full time job for you then. there are assholes and idiots out there everyday. fuck them, and enjoy the sun and the shne.
Ha ha, are you from down the shore?
I find that bad experiences are a lot rarer as I have become older and more experienced. I actually cringe a lot more when I see what the newbs on bikes are doing…like this dude I saw attempting to enter the rotary on his fancy new road bike last monday evening, it was painful watching it all play out.
So, I probably won’t be entering as much as you might think. I hope.
i find i see a lot more when i’m on my two-wheeler. there is lot’s of cringe worthy behaviour cranky me lad
The rotary has been a roundabout for a couple of years, or several shitty concerts ago.
It states that cyclists can take the full lane in a roundabout right here:
http://www.gov.ns.ca/tran/hottopics/onemet…
Was the bicycle going at an acceptable speed and not obstructing the flow of traffic? In the first case, likely no. Second, likely yes. No wonder they yelled at you. They’d yell at a slow moving car also.
Yes, the bicycle was moving at an acceptable speed. Not that it should have any bearing on anything whatsoever when it comes to my safety. I could go on about the safety merits which make taking a full lane by bicyclists in the merry-go-round necessary but instead I’ll just point out that my average amount of time spent circling probably amounts to no more than 30 seconds.
That, and the LAW is on my side.
Yes, before anybody says it: even though the LAW is on my side I will still be killed if I take on a 1600lb vehicle with my bicycle. That said, if it happened in the rotary the person killing me would be doing in full view of about 10-20 motorists, and at probably 25km/h.
Just chill and relax. Like I said. 30 seconds. I’m probably travelling 2-5km/h slower than you. I move to the right as soon as we exit. Doing this is safer for ME, so fuck you.
