HRM city council has asked for a report from staff re: taking over the maintenance of five cemeteries since their associated churches have closed and been torn down. Why should the city bear the cost for this? I assume the churches received money for the burials in the first place. The church still exists as an institution, even if that particular branch is closed. Let them pay for it. Does the city pay to clean up the contaminated soil of every lot that used to house a gas station? At least the gas stations payed fucking taxes. — Tired of paying for your hobby

  1. It’s not mandatory. They will or they won’t. The question is whether or not the city of Halifax has any respect for the dead.

  2. Just goes to show how much of a shit the church gives about you after you stop writing cheques every Sunday.

  3. You try tracking down a church on the run. Just like chasing down a straight priest. Try finding one of them and you’ll be on a lifelong quest.

  4. You know when you’ve had too much to smoke when you pass it on to the person beside you and it turns out to be your cat…

  5. Did you now the only Canadian Prime Minister from the maritimes and interred here resides off South Park Street? 44.639124, -63.577227
