To the random man and his wife walking their dog off-leash on my road just now… I slowed the fucked down and drove in the other lane so as to safely pass you and your dog and you gave me the stink eye and threw you hands up in some hostile gesture after I was long down the road.
…Wtf is your problem? seriously? I just want to know… was it the slowing down part that pissed you off? Or the fact that you couldn’t read my lips and mistook “puppy” for “fuck you” or something? I just really wanna know, honestly.

I have trained dogs and have to say, anyone that walks along a road with an off leash dog is an irresponsible dog owner.
I don’t care if your dog has never once ran or darted off, it only takes one incident to mean a dead pet. Another dog or animal could make your dog run off, a loud noise, even the smell of something too tasty to resist. It does NOT matter how well your dog is trained, these things CAN happen and it is the owners responsibilty to ensure the safety of their pet.
It’s not fair to the dog and it’s not fair to the driver who could hit an animal and probably feel terrible for it.
My dogs were completely trained to be on lead, off lead, with voice commands, whistles and hand signals and I would not walk them off lead next to a road. I value their lives too much for that.

isnt it against the law to walk your dog off leash in most areas …except for maybe a few parks???…I may be wrong not 100% but….also if a pet is hit by a car the driver if they have any soul at all would also be quite shook up by that kind of incident as well. Even if its not their fault. I agree …completely ignorant and irresponsible.
