It drives me nuts when you’re in the checkout at the grocery store, coffee shop, etc. and you have to wait endlessly for the knucklehead to rummage through their luggage to find the exact change. Fer fux sake, was it a surprise to you that money was required to make a purchase? Why can’t you sort this out while waiting in line? Then, the kicker, you spend a few more minutes repacking your sack afterwards, further delaying people behind you in line! Why bother, you obviously do not remember where anything is cause we have to wait while you pulled it out in the first place. Jesus, at least drag your shit out of the way so the rest of us can get through. —Jake the sailor

  1. I carry a purple lulu bag with me wherever I go, but I tend to keep my wallet in one of the pockets for easy access.

The bag is big enough that I can put stuff in it instead of carrying around tons of shopping bags *shrug*

  2. I don’t carry around a lot of shit, zZz — that’s the thing. My bag is larger because I like to put my purchases in there after I buy them. A lot better than lugging around bags. I probably don’t carry much more than you do when you go shopping, zed 😉

  3. OMG, I NEED THAT UTILITY BELT…

and I suppose it would depend on what type of shopping we’re talking.
    food has carts….
    clothes I don’t really shop for….
and tech stuff is all getting smaller and smaller these days.

  4. Of course… if someone’s hands are full until the last second when their stuff hits the register, it might be a bit more forgivable, eh?

These assholes should just grow a second set of arms like the rest of us. Or leave their kids in the car with the window cracked.

I don’t disagree with your bitch.. but at the same time, did you pay any attention to their circumstance BEFORE they pissed you off? Maybe they only had use of their hands at the last second…

  5. PayPass…..saves a lot of time. Just tap and go.

What are those people carrying in those bags that is so critical to their existence? Leave that extra shit at home.

  6. Waiting while women unpack and then repack their purses at the checkout is similar to waiting for them while they do those things they do to make themselves look spectacular before heading out for a night on the town.

It is a process that cannot be rushed and a wise man will go with the flow and find something useful to do while he waits, such as unplugging the sink or taking out the trash or refilling the washer fluid in the car.

I’m just happy that my woman will occasionally let me put the odd thing like sunglasses or car keys in that backpack she calls a purse and I always make sure to thank her for it.

This is how I’ve avoided having to carry a European style man bag for so long.

  7. heh heh…i am starting to understand why the coast uses our material. i am home, the president told me to take a snow day…screee

  8. Commandante… waiting to pay for something in line to get the hell outta the store and waiting for someone to put on makeup in the convenience of your own house are two completely different things.

why would you not be wearing your sunglasses if you brought them?
and car keys? you don’t have pockets????
what are you wearing? even bathing suits have pockets….

oh wait… I take that back.
    I know what you’re wearing….

  11. zed,

If you’re waiting on a woman it’s all the same.

. . . and I didn’t realize people were following me around with phone cameras. Don’t knock the full–body thong until you’ve tried it. über comfortable!

  12. everyone can’t be as swift as you jake, old boy. i suggest buying a can of coffee or whatever, and making it at home, or in your case, in your canoe.

  13. Military intelligence, two words combined that can’t make sense. Possibly I’ve seen too much. Hangar 18, I know too much. *epic guitar solo*

  14. Oh PK, Uncle Vanya occasionally has his moments*Narf*. But February is when Le Cafard kicks in , so be prepared for any silliness. >: )

  15. They do the same thing at the bridge toll booths but also they want to change a loonie at the manned booth when they can go through any cash lane and it does the samething .
