Why oh why oh why must I have to suffer the annoyance of self-righteous do-gooders blocking my entry into work so that they can smile insideously and ask if I have my United Way form??? I donate to charities on my own and do not need my employer harassing me just so they can brag about how much more they raised than another employer. Let me do my job and stop berating me with your “WalMart greeter” rhetoric. Please! And shove your apple where the sun doesn’t shine!

What makes me sick about most of these groups is the fact that most of the money collected will go to administration.
I can’t stand the people in the blue or yellow vests that stand around downtown asking if you have time to hear about unicef or spca or other charities.I have no problem with supporting the charities I choose to support (at work we get deducted $2 a pay cheque that goes towards Terry Fox Cancer Research) – and I’ve heard that the people preaching get paid pretty good money for standing around talking for minutes on end….where do they get the money from??
