I love the way we bitch. I was watching television one lazy Sunday afternoon when a commercial came on about a charity. Immediately I switched half my attention off because I’d rather not feel guilty or slightly depressed for the life I have compared to the starving children in Africa or the abused kittens being saved by animal shelters. But something about this commercial really got through to me, the lady speaking said “If you’re not gonna help make things right in the world, then don’t complain about the wrong.” This really made me think, and I completely agree with her. So many people are so quick to complain about litter, pollution, or even issues as extreme as global warming however they do nothing to help slow down or stop the issues. I am partially guilty for doing this however I really try not to complain about things or events that I have no control over. Small things add up just as bad things do too, “the straw that broke the camels back”, why can’t this statement be true to the good things as well as the bad? The good things could help the world, for example the odd piece of trash someone picks up could eventually help restore natural beauty to a run down park. People are so quick to complain and yet they don’t help in any way. Therefore I agree with the lady in the commercial by saying if your not going to change it, don’t complain about it. —Conor

  1. I saw one of those “save the children” commercials yesterday also. How do they get the kids to cry on cue? Do they show obese Canadian teenagers eating whoppers and playing Xbox?

  2. I happen to be a fan of archeology. Have always been fascinated by previous civilizations, especially the Mayan, & North American peoples. I of course learned in school about Egypt, Rome, China , the Persians & Arab’s.
What I noticed, was you gotta DIG a hole to find most of the information about these people. That the civilizations before us are for the most part under us.
So since all the garbage & everything else is buriied, I figure future civilization will be doing the same thing in the future.

I sleep better, hav lovely winter bonfires (you wanna see the heat & flame that comes from a stack of old tires !)
Yep, life’s good, all the sky is falling crowd needs to Lighten the Fuck up.
Future generations will just be walking on top of our mess ~;)

  3. Alright, sebastard has taken his brain dead asshole pill today. so much for the “seb light” version we’ve been enjoying lately. Back to regular annoying arsetardery.

  4. Seb’s the Brainy Smurf of LTWWB. He knows nothing, just blah-blah-blahs for the sake of blah-blah-blahing, and regurgitates stuff he’s heard from other people that he figures will make him sound intelligent and witty.

  5. And to answer your question, sebastian:

The producers tell the kids to pretend they’re a pretentious gay boy living in Halifax that drives an SUV and is unable to get a date for Friday night 🙂

  6. unfortunately o.p., people are people, and as such, don’t much care about anything cepting themselves. too sad, but true. yes i get that we could do more to help our fellow humans, animals and even the enviroment. but the problem lies with the individual, not the whole.
a country can take care of it’s people, but the one in power has to give the go ahead, for this to happen.
the same can be said about animals and their control. if the owner had them fixed, there wouldn’t be widespread population explosions of said animals.
which finally brings me to the finish of this comment. we as individuals, can only do so much, n our everyday life. it is up to the higher ups, to carry the things thu, and not fuck up royally, as they so often do.
why spend money on shit that no one wants or needs, when there is people starving in your own country, why build things that only a few will ever use. and of course, why have any type of budget, that none of the flunkies in your offices will follow?
if the answer was clear, then there wouldn’t be a need to ask these questions o.p., and if that answer was used in a practical way, there would be all these bad things you speak of happening. but humans are what they are, good, bad, and ugly.

  7. you back again diddler? wow, thought you went to play with your dead rats, you know, the ones you keep under your bed, with the rest of your family, of bedbugs. get fucked, asshole. don’t like it, then don’t fucking read it you little fucking jerkwad. (guess i told it off hey)

  8. NGF gotta prioritize, Z. He gots a high profile job now and only has time to slam sebastard these days. hahaha.

  9. Must have hit a nerve there You Suck! Seriously though… Give it up. No one cares what you think. Stop wasting your time and other peoples air.

  10. I think we have a couple of saucy pill overdosers here. ^^^

It takes courage (or total obliviousness = ) to post such a sentiment at LTWWB = p

“Small things add up just as bad things do too, “the straw that broke the camels back”, why can’t this statement be true to the good things as well as the bad?”

    Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
(although the image of breaking a camel’s back isn’t usually associated with anything positive = )

  11. I wonder if Z has anything better to do than follow me around LTWWB hoping he can give me a blowjob on a MT bus.

  12. More, when they dig us up in 5,000 years, all they’ll find will be disposable diapers and big mac boxes. (no joke)

Don’t tell me what I can and cannot bitch about. I don’t litter, I drive good mileage vehicles, I’ve planted trees and cleaned up high-ways (not from prison either). So if I choose to give to local chariies instead of an adminstrative heavy, international group, so be it & a ‘sweet fuck you’ to all concerned.
I’ll damm well bitch when & where I feel like it.

  13. fididder. or whatever, can’t you find your rock, that you somehow managed to crawl out from under anymore? let me give you a hint where it is, it’s up your ass. so find your way back home soon, that is, soon as you take your finger, or whatever else you have jammed in there, out. fucking douchebag little shit.

  14. What’s your problem with LIFESUCKS, Fiddler??? His comments on this board are much more clever and witty than anything YOU’VE ever written here.

  15. I do have better things to do NGF: I just got myself a big beautiful purse so I can do some serious shoplifting now. Forget the lightweight, accidental diaper incident…I’m moving onto more exciting things. I wish I could steal you some charecter, but I don’t think it comes in your size.

  16. z, sweetie, would it happen to be big enough to carry a 42 in. flatscreen? or how about big enough to carry a life for an inbred, mom’s basement bound clod. know what i mean, heh, heh. or maybe big enough for our rosie to bunk in for a bit of time?

  17. And in the middle of all them better things to do you still made time for ol NGF. 😀

What’s charechter? Sounds like something for a typewriter.

  18. I’m afraid we need to turn to our own neighbourhood first before giving our money to organizations who skim a huge portion of contributions for administration.

I’ve always liked the idea of benefits to raise money, doing it on the cheap, where local talent can donate their time and people can have a good time for a worthy cause, even if it ends up being a fucking house party. Sigh. I guess that’s the old hippie in me.

  19. I’d like to take this moment to bitch about my mother who decided to sponsor a child 7 years ago in a fit of guilt, received his glowering picture and hasn’t written him a single letter.

I tried to do it for her but to be honest, that was quite the glower.

  20. Don’t take it to heart Tralala. It’s only people like Madonna and Angelina Jolie who can afford the nice ones. The rest of us have to make do with child soldiers and future Mugabes.

  21. A friend of mine sponsors a child and she’s actually gotten a lot of enjoyment out of it. She does write letters and gets a couple back. But she’s personally worked with the small grass roots org that she donates to, so completely believes in their work, and has been to some of their missions in South America. It’s very cool. But it’s like anything else… you have to do your research!

Oh, and fuck off Fiddler. Suckulicious is a very important part of the bitching fabric of our kingdom.

  22. Ivan, I’ll have to tell her that, she’ll get a laugh… to her credit, she does still keep his picture up on the fridge. Wonder if that has anything to do with how she’s managed not to put on a single pound in the past 10 years.

  23. LMFAO!. My Mom fosters a child in Africa. She got so sick of an internecine power struggle in her church that she decided to say to hell with them, and send her money someplace else.

  24. You have a point OP, but really, it’s unrealistic. One person can only do so much. If I have a list of, oh, say, twenty things that are bugging me, I work on changing five of them, does that mean I can’t complain about the other fifteen that I can’t do anything about? Don’t think so. We do have the power to change things, but there are limits. Not being able to change something isn’t going to stop me from complaining about it. That would imply apathy, which is not something I want to be.

  25. Hey Fiddler, do you froth at the mouth much? We can practically see the spittle spraying your computer screen! Lifesucks really hits a nerve!

  26. well, well, the man with the crab name, or maybe the crabs floats back to the top again. what’s the fuck is with you anyway, jealous because i have a few laughs and have a rapport with the people here? you have to watch yourself, or i’ll just ask montrealman, to pull down your undies, and spank your bum.
he would like that, but i digress, what’s bugging your hole? is it because it’s winter? shit, it’ll be that way for another 6 months yet. is it because your partner never let you lick the pot? so many questions, and not any answers, come on now, tell the old suckster all about it, you can start in any year you wish, maybe together, the bitcchers and i, can make you into a useful person.
