The front page of a certain paper told the story of a 48 year old man beating a cat to death. Neighbours were subjected to the cats horrific screams as it was being pummeled to death. I cannot believe this cowardly pig of a man was released with “charges possible”. I agree OP, definite charges should be in order. Unfortunately most of the time animals are seen more as objects in the eye of the law. My mom and I walked around the lake a few years ago, saw a guy pull a gorgeous dog out of his car, saw him doing something in the water with it when we were on the far off side, and returned to see the dog dead. We called the cops right away, but were told they don’t deal with that. It was more of an animal control/rights issue. Fact is, when people hurt animals brutally like that, there is always the chance that they have more creepy skeletons in their closet. Hopefully that bastard will get what he deserves.
That’s horrible. If charges aren’t laid, hopefully someone takes it into their own hands and do the same to him as he did the cat.
