To the woman and two men who found my cat Max dying in the street on Wednesday night after being hit by a car, and stayed with him—I don’t know who you are but I want to thank you. I heard that you, the woman, stroked his fur until he was gone, and the guys diverted traffic so he wouldn’t have to be moved before it was time. I am touched beyond words by your kindness and wish I could say it to you in person.
