  1. This just smashed my heart in to many pieces 🙁 🙁 I don’t even know how I would have handled this situation. So, so sad 🙁 RIP kitty

  2. I agree – very very sad… poor kitty. Always be aware of where you drive. Anyone can make a mistake if it runs out in front – but to be so blatantly uncaring… Asshole people.

  3. I love cats, have two myself, and if anyone did this to me I think I would lose it. I have yelled only once in my entire life so far, and I would yell, if that’s what it takes to get the point across that it is not a laughable matter to kill someone’s pet, which owners often consider their family member.

  4. And you didn’t put a brick through the window why?

PS: take better care of kitty and these things won’t happen. My girls aren’t allowed outside for just such a reason. And because they don’t have all their needles. But if anyone hurt a strand of fur on them I’d break every bone in your fingers, hand, arms, rib cage and maybe skull.

  5. So sad to hear about the little guy OP :(:(! I would actually be depressed forever if anything happened to my kitty! And that’s why he is an indoor kitty <3! There are too many cars, weirdos, and diseased animals out there for me to ever feel like I could let him outside. I sometimes take him outside and hold on to him, because he likes the smells and birds :).

  6. Cats out running around loose.
    Cat gets killed by car.
    Drivers fault ??? I think not !
    Inconsiderate owners fault…absolutely 150%.

dada, dom, dom, dom another one bites the dust

  7. This never happened. If it did, you would have called the police and reported the plate number for animal cruelty.

  8. yes, i think this falls under animal cruelty… if you remember the color of the hummer, OP, I would still report it- ain’t too, too many hummers in HRM. pulling into a parking spot is such a low-speed maneuver, one would have to TRY to hit something. OP plz report it.

  9. let’s share some license plate numbers in code… i’d love to do something to that douche-mobile

i mean hitting a cat is one thing, but when you’re driving like an idiot, and then don’t DO anything about it, you’re an ass

  10. This is one of those stories I can’t bring myself to read but I get the gist from the title.

Too many budding sociopaths out there to risk letting my kitty outdoors on her own.

Seriously, keep an eye out for yellow Hummers and let them know how you feel. Loudly!

  11. And if the owner kept it inside or on a leash, this wouldn’t have happened. You let a cat or dog roam, this is bound to happen.

  12. yes it is the owners fault and the car…and by ‘car’ i mean hideous gas sucking waste of resources-owners fault. he had to use the mirrors, which, on a hummer, and the size of dinner plates- to back up. and seeing the kitty, the horn, which comes pretty standard with hummers, also can wake the dead, may have proven effective to get the cat out of your parking spot.
they deserve to be reported for animal cruelty, and the cat owners, actually, only dogs have owners, cats have staff. may take this as a lesson to keep a closer eye on their new kitty, when and if they ever get one.
it was a painful thing to experience. and keeping cats locked up inside or on leashes is usually the main idea, but my cats name is Houdini for a reason. they can be clever when they need to get outdoors, and watching them every minute is easier said than done.

  13. I’m calling bogus on this bitch. Just not coming across as realistic to me. Cats aren’t that bloody stupid and will generally move when a massive machine is bearing down on them. On top of that, of the two-three cats and several dogs (dogs being stupider than cats) that have been hit by cars not one of the drivers had even a remotely similar reaction that you’re claiming this one did. In fact, I think anyone who actually witnessed a cat putting its head under a wheel of a car and felt it was the driver’s fault would have called the police to at least hear that the police couldn’t do anything.

  14. Why is everyone so hung up on what the guy was driving? What kind of vehicle he wants to spend his money on is none of your GD business. I suppose had he been driving a Prius and driven over the cats head it wouldn’t have been such a heinous crime? Fucking granolas are as hypocritical as the rest of us.
