I was at the last Songwriter’s Circle. There was a couple close to the stage who talked all through the show, they were loud and obnoxious. They were obviously drunk. It is an acoustic show. Why are there no ushers or someone to tell these people to be quiet!!?!?!??

  1. You’re not alone Ian, I have also experienced this a lot more often of late at various events. It’s just about time for another “Bitch” about movie theatres. Last week I was at a Mooseheads game and the group behind us just gossipped about whatever/whomever the entire game, a lot of jabber about GD nachos… WTF! The most enjoyable 10 mins was when they decided to go get the flipping nachos 🙂 It’s even more distracting at concerts because you’re obviously there to hear the music. I’m not really sure where it crosses the line. It’s a social event and sometimes the audience can be as entertaining as the performer (Pearl Jam anyone?). I guess it’s the constant chatter, drunk or otherwise, that drives me to drink.
