My friends and I love the Coast but man, you cartoon page is not funny. I mean, I know you are trying to be artsy and unlike newspapers but scatter some Garfield in there or at least something that makes some form of sense.

wow, thank goodness, that makes three of us. I thought I was too old to understand those “sketches”. I even wondered if they were actually comic. they’re cartoons, huh? oh well, one has to fill the page whatever.
I like Mike Holmes but those other two cartoons are fucking pointless and probably the product of too much glue-sniffing.

I hate Garfield as well. Ever since I heard Jim Davies, its creator, doesn’t even do the strips anymore, I was turned off, other than the fact it’s just not a good cartoon, pure corn crap. The only strip that’s worse is Animal Crackers.
I’ve always been a fan of the far side..and good ol’ fashioned family circus!

Yeah, at least Mike Holmes is a refreshing change to the NSCAD crap that litters the supposed “comic” page. I am a cartoonist(self published) and it saddens me that people want that crap.
Far side and family circus, huh. Awesome. Perhaps an even more commonplace and non-local comic instead of the existing ones. The hell with local artists. Put another garfield vote in the box for me. Philistines.
Its true, the Mike Holmes bit is pretty cool and is a refreshing change from the usual freak-out comix. If you ever get rid of the other crap, please replace it with something instead of just enlarging the physical space that the Holmes bit takes up. A few ishes ago you had it take up the full page and it looked/read like shite.
