Dear bus driver, yes, it was me, last Thursday on Barrington. I wanted to cross the street so badly to catch the bus behind you, and I thought you had stopped, so I rushed in front of you. But you were pulling back into traffic, and only your vigilance and good reflexes allow me to write this today.
I messed up, and scared you, added stress to your day, and disrespected other pedestrians by giving them a bad rep. I am truly and deeply sorry, and I want you to know that I am in awe of the Metro transit drivers, their skills, their politeness, friendliness and how helpful they are. I hereby swear I will not do this again, ever, and I present you with this apology in the hope that you’ll forgive me. —I Will Do Better From Now On
