I as well have just read the article in the herald..thanks Tinker for the link…I couldn’t find it!!! It seems to me that because the housekeeper got upper management involved that person is now being punished by having their pay with held. Exactly who does the hiring of these managers? And who oversees their actions in the workplace? Something needs to be done. I must say that I am shocked this housekeeper’s pay is being held back. Actually shocked is not the right word…disgusted is a better fit!
Agian this is stupid. Another bitch! This supervisor must be a real ass. It is clear that the staff think so as well. It is sad to hear that another person is dealing with the same thing. Keep looking for another job there are plenty of employers out there that will respect your hard work. Don’t put yourself through that any longer than you need to. It is great to see that you are supporting this housekeeper I think you should encourage everyone to tell their story maybe then something will be done. Do you know how this housekeeper is doing since leaving?All the best to you and hopefully you will be out of that awful situation soon.
Thanks Tinker,I am so infuriated I can’t even find the right words to express how angry this Housekeeper’s situation makes me.We are GD adults who are suppose to be learning from the mistakes of the past – like Columbine!…hello- bullying is just completely unacceptable, there should be ZERO tollerance at this place for anyhing that even resembles this type of abuse- Management should all be fired, if they had /have even a hint that this is going onhow can we expect children and young adults to not be resorting to violence when SHIT like this is going on in a place of business/healthcare.There can be no satisfactory explanation for me!I truly hope that this article gets sooo much exposure that somebody is forced to be accountable to this housekeeper’s plight.

The more we squawk, the more those jerkwads will be forced to face this very vital issue – I’m so fucking mad about this, I could spit nails. I have a hell of a lot more respect for the hospital housekeepers than I ever had from the lazy shits they work for. I saw this first hand when my elderly mother was hospitalized last summer. The housekeeping staff were treated like garbage. That this poor woman was forced to give up her job because of these bullying pigs is so infuriating that I’d like to go down to that department and tear that supervisor a new asshole.
