I’ve got nothing against medical marijuana. If it gets to that point, I’ll take it. However, do NOT say to the guy with stage IV colorectal cancer, “Dude, you’re so LUCKY—they’ll give you a medical marijuana card, no problem.” This is a good way to get yourself kicked in the nuts by a guy with cancer. Maybe your new testicular pain will be ‘lucky’ enough to get you your own card. —The Guy with Cancer

Guess what? You ARE lucky. Lucky that people cared enough about your comfort to go to jail to make sure you have the choice to get a medical card. It’s all about perspective.
PS; if you are depressed aboit your situation, there’s a weed for that too. Try a sativa dominant hybrid with a 1:1 ratio of CBD to THC, that should adjust your outlook in a positive way.
Poprah’s right – a good sativa is perfect for cancer patients. Unfortunately, the process of getting a license is still pretty flawed as some GPs are still on the fence about recommending weed. I can assure you that, after 40 yrs. of smoking ganga, it is a healing plant that can do amazing things, especially when one has side effects of chemo, is depressed, in chronic pain or deals with severe anxiety issues – the list of weed’s positive properties is a long one.
I’m sorry to hear about your cancer. I wish you all the best in treatment and hope for your eventual recovery.
No etiquette, sensitivity, or brains. Sorry you had to deal with such an idiot.
Dude…you don’t need cancer.
You just have to contact one of the doctors-for-hire. Like the ones that advertised in The Coast a while back…
Well said, and you express yourself powerfully.
You could look at it this way, Cancer sucks ass, Its a long hard painful battle, On the upside WOW Pot card, Imagine what we could have done with all that pot 30 years ago man, Pretty cool eh? Honestly they were just trying to get a laugh out of you not degrade and marginalize your condition! My friend has had cancer three times, throat, mouth and lungs! He got a pot licence and we laugh and joke about it all the time, but maybe that’s because he was a hippie back in the good old days and having a puff reminds him of being a kid again, instead of a cancer ridden aging, tired sore. blah blah blah get the picture!
Lets take the kid gloves off.
A dope that hides behind their cancer to justify their dope habit is still a dope.
