While out walking my dogs this evening, I found mail strewn all over the street. Someone had broken into the mail box and took the time to open them and tossed them away when there was nothing of value. I picked everything up and put an elastic band around them with a note explaining the circumstance of how I found them and put them into the mail box. But who knows what information the thieves kept. I am writing this bitch just warning people that these super boxes are not nearly as safe as we were told. —I want my mail delivered

  1. Let’s assume you are the same person who already had the media over this, ok? The cops and Canada Post are already on this and are trying to get answers.

My assumption, especially the way the mail was found with the blue elastics: delivery error. Post person put the bundle aside in the chaos of delivery andforgot. It really isn’t very easy to break into the new generation boxes.

  2. They were not found wrapped in elastic bands. They were also OPENED. I do not know the circumstances of how they came to be found opened over a km from their intended recipients but I would hope that more concern would be expressed at the fact that they were. I am sure the people on Blue Jay Street did not open their mail and four individuals decided to get into their vehicles and drive over a km to toss their mail onto the same street.

The police checked to see if the Superboxes were vandalized or showed signs of tampering. They did not and that is where police involvement ends. They have closed the case and are not trying to get answers.

Scooter…How do you know that they were found with blue elastics? That fact was never disclosed to the media. If you are aware of this fact, it suggests that perhaps you work for Canada Post.

You are awfully quick to defend the security of these Superboxes…would you be so quick if it was your mail that had been stolen? Or do you own shares in the company that manufactures them?

  3. The placement of these things is absolutely terrible. Right in front of stop signs, on blind corners its totally ridiculous.

  4. Well if people would get with the year 2015 mail wouldn’t be an issue at all. Oh, guess I’ll pretend its 1997 and check my mailbox for AOL online software too.
