What a money grab! Why wouldn’t the city pay for the bouncy castles for a day? I don’t have a problem paying for rides and amusements for the kids but you’d think on Canada Day they could make it free. Three dollars for a ticket and $18 for a bracelet! I waited in line for almost 30 min for the little train ride with my son and the woman ahead of us had a bracelet. What she didn’t know was that the train wasn’t included in the bracelets. What. The. Fuck. They didn’t let them on. Fuck you, bouncy castle company. Fuck you, Bedford. –Sweaty dad

Ever since my wife and I went to the Charlottetown Canada Day Events two years ago, everything else doesn’t compare. Fireworks were Fabo!
And nothing compares to my summer in Ottawa and the Canada Day festivities. The whole of Wellington was packed down onto Bank and down to Rideau and we had to stand on a tractor to see anything….
Even though we couldn’t find a restaurant that wasn’t full, and even though the market was packed and it was hotter than the hinges of hell and even though the buses over in Gatineau stopped running at 5 and we got stuck at the museum, it was simply amazing. My mom flew up to visit and we had the best day — topped off by some spiked lemonade and a bbq on our back patio down by the canal. 🙂

The bouncy castles in Eastern Passage were free. They are every year.
Free concert with Sam Roberts and you have to pay for the bouncy castle? WTF?

Didn’t make DeWolfe Park this Canada Day, but inclined to agree with the OB about it being a bit of a money grab (although the free pancakes are yummy – thanks Smitties).
