Seriously, I get that my driveway is crappy and I have to drive onto part of the sidewalk so I can back into it but you all need to stop flipping out! I can’t even count the numerous times I’ve driven to get into position to back into my driveway and a person will be in front or behind me, walking by. I stop and make eye contact with them or wave them by so they don’t think I’m going to run them down. But there’s the moronic few that feel the need to scream at me and ask “WTF ARE YOU DRIVING ON THE SIDEWALK FOR!?!?” and give me evil glares. I’m on the side walk because like many of the hundreds of other homes you passed, there is a driveway connected to that sidewalk and your body and my car cannot occupy the same space at one time and I’m waiting for you to pass, hence my parking lights, eye contact, and wave. Let them be dicks, OP. Some people can’t drive. Some people can’t walk. Pedestrians, god love em- sometimes can’t endure not being allowed to cross if you don’t stop your car in 500/sec.

I don’t know about anyone else…but when I go to the city to vist my folks. I have to drive over a section of sidewalk to pull into their driveway.
THere is no other way to get into their driveway, without going over the piece of sidewalk, that extends across the entire front of the property !
I guess I should have added that the driveway runs parallel to the sidewalk, Petey ;D, it’s not just one that you can drive straight into.
