Well, I’m sad to say I (unknowingly) wasted a good $7000 at a waste of time, poorly-run school.
I was told repeatedly “our program is top of the line; huge employment opportunities; best teachers” etc. etc.
BEWARE of “Private Career Colleges”.
Of the 10 people in my graduating class, I know of 2 that are currently working in the field.
The real kicker? When our own instructor, who worked in the field for about 10 years prior, told ys the program was crap and that we were being totally rushed. Funny that everytime each of us wrote that in our class evaluations nothing was done to fix the problem. NOW .. I look on the website and they have so nicely added the word “Assistant” to the end of the program name. Nice eh? So that’s what we are qualified for .. assistants. Thanks for telling us all that ahead of time.

I’ve noticed that in the U.S., these type of places change ownership frequently which brings to mind the question: If you say you graduated from XYZ Career College and it changes its name to ABC Career College’, where the hell does that leave you when you put XYZ on a resume? Universities and NSCC are safe bets, these other fly-by-night orgs should be made more accountable to the people it serves.
Are you talking about CompuCollege?
