It was really nice working for you guys. I especially liked that you messed up my pay not once but twice in a row. $13 per hour ain’t a whole lot in the first place, especially for the shit i have to put up with.
You guys are the cheapest cheapskates I have ever had the displeasure of working for. I couldn’t even get off the phone for two minutes to take a piss or get a drink of water without it coming out of my paycheck. You had me staring at 10-year-old CRT monitors for 8+ hours a day, burning my retinas out. I couldn’t even have a pen or piece of paper to do my job or doodle or do SOMETHING while I’m sitting there waiting for a call.
I could go on but I won’t. I just want to say one thing.
Call centres. It wouldn’t take all that much effort on your part to make these jobs not SO shitty. Stuff like having better communication between management and staff, providing things like a clean workplace. NOT GETTING ALL UP IN MY ASS EVERY TIME A CALL GOES OVER 5 MINUTES WHILE I’M TRYING TO HELP A CUSTOMER (which is due to the fact that we weren’t trained AT ALL on one aspect that people call about fairly often). If you did those things you would have lower turnover and a better overall quality of staff. The way it is now you guys have people who are either there for life because they simply can’t or won’t do any better, or people who are there until the moment something better comes along and they are outta there faster than Usain Bolt. Looking around the lunchroom at the broken dreams and stress and depression was just sickening.
You guys are owned by a multi kazgillion dollar conglomerate and can’t even come out of pocket to cut someone a cheque when YOU mess their pay up. I had to pay for your mistake, not once but twice.
Well enjoy your shitty mid level careers, call centre managers. I hope you all sleep well at night knowing that if some two bit company in Indo China can do what you guys do for $100 less per year you will lose your client in a heart beat. —On to Bigger and Better Things

I only wish i could even GET A JOB, but being legally blind, well it fucks that up royally, as soon as an employer sees a white cane, they make EVERY excuse possible to not hire you, rather than being HONEST & just admitting that they DONT WANT to hire a blind/visually disabled person, they’re great at hiring their token wheelchair user or mentally challanged persion, but not blind people! & CNIB DONT DO ANYTHING!!
I’ve been trying to get my education finished since 1998, but NO WHERE is equpped or willing to deal with a woman with minor learning disabilities & who is legally blind!! (I’ve tried in Hamilton, Toronto, Brantford, mississauga), still looking here, but wouldent be surprised to find out there’s nothing available..

I go to the NSCC Waterfront Campus Emily, and I see blind people there. It’s a modern campus that even has dedicated staff who’s sole purpose is to help disabled students. What is it you want to go to school for?
Mel is right, Emily. That’s where I went to school, NSCC Waterfront. They’re VERY accommodating, and certainly have to resources available to help out someone who genuinely wants to learn.
