To all the bus drives that drive away when someone is less than 4 meters from reaching the bus stop, while running, Especially when its piss poor raining, and you condescendingly shake your head at us as if we should have done better. Well what about the people that have 3 kids at home and getting out the door is hard, or for students that have to finish printing a paper before they can leave the door. IS there any fucking compassion left in this city or has it all gone down the shit whole. Fucking wait for people. .

People who bitch about bus drivers in hfx should go spend some time in some larger cities…I lived in ottawa for a few months on an internship and the bus drivers up there are 99% prick 99% of the time. The stories I could share…gg
There is always the next bus. Running for the bus is always a gamble, and a lot of the time, it isn’t safe to stop the bus to let you in so you’ll lose. Suck it up, take the next bus. Instead of bitching about it (it happens to a lot of us, and it has happened to me before too), learn from it and come earlier to the stop next time.
Why doesn’t anyone just leave earlier????
I dunno if it’s changed, but if the bus has already pulled away from the stop, they’re not allowed to stop for you to get on(although the nice ones still do it). I saw a driver get fucking REAMED for it by MT a few years ago.
Thing *is* if the bus stops for YOU because you can’t leave earlier than those of us who DID leave early might miss an already tight transfer. It’s happened to me and I’ve ended up missing transfers and had to wait sometimes an hour for the next one. Why should those of us who manager to get our asses out the door on time suffer on account of you? As much as I’d like to say I care about the welfare of strangers, ultimately, I care about MY welfare a tad bit more… admit it, y’all do too (care about your own welfare a tad bit more than the welfare of strangers, that is).
