They cleared the stops in front of my house at 1 am with their loud equipment.
put your blame where it belongs o.p., on those that are contracted by hrm to do them. transit has fuck all to do with snow removal of any kind, not even at their bus garage.
I know what you are talking about. I have seen many standing on piles of snow in the shelter itself. The city should get off their ass and do their job
The bus stops are all cleared where I live too.
Snow removal is non-existent in this city. It is snow relocation. They just push it around into piles that may or may not be in people’s ways.
Whatever happened to those 18-wheeler, snow melting rigs. Basically a furnace that melts the snow (inside the rig) before it gets contaminated, and dumps the water down the storm drain.
I think you’re confusing this situation with ‘the future’, Hugo.
Nope, several years ago a Halifax company developed them. The news bit made it onto live@5 & CBC. 18-wheler with a big hopper, kinda like a zamboni, dump thes snow in, it gets melted and flushed down the drain.
what? one of these suckers?

or are you confusing a truck for “the sun” ?
If it wasn’t that rig, it was something very similar. Except the news made it sound like a Godsend.
