The cycle continues as these ‘thugs’ knock up girls and ultimately reproduce mini pathetic versions of themselves which in turn reproduce and create more youngins requiring social assistance in someway, whether through corrections, addictions, or welfare. Why do people let their kids do this shit? Seriously. How can they let such a chain continue??? Seek help…for the love of God and the sake of your children, grandchildren. There are support groups, programs, centres, and even temporary residence for your kids that have behaviour problems. Please seek them out. Please try. Too many kids are ending up in jail for stupid things that could have easily been prevented by simple supervision or interventions, and the roads they travel are scary ones. Trust me on this please.

Let’s face it people, the majority of THUGS and robberies of people in the city including Dartmouth, involve young black male and females. There are more projects, low income housing, unemployed youths, etc that involve black children than any other race in this province. If most of the black people in this city would loose the “chip” on their shoulder that most of them seem to have then perhaps things would change. WE are not the reason for slavery and every thing else your ancestors endoured. GET OVER IT, get an education, and enjoy life!!! That has pissed me off for years. There was a man and a woman talking in a shelter not long ago, saying how smokers should have more rights, seeing how they pay so much tax. Fuck off, I’m pregnant and my baby doesn’t deserve to be breathing in your smoke that you blow out of your selfish face. Get the fuck outside!!
I’m a smoker and find that disgusting. The least that person could do is smoke in the open area, away from the others.
Yeah, I’m with you. I smoked for 15 years and I wouldn’t smoke in the bus shelters for that very reason…respect for others. If it was raining, I had an umbrella…I’d step outside and away from the shelter, pop up the umbrella, and smoke. God I’m glad I don’t have to do that anymore…finally kicked the habit out the door about 7 months ago when I realized…hey, it really DOES stink! 🙂
Why are most people too polite to say, “hey buddy! Take that outside.”? Are we afraid? I can see being cautious if it’s just you and the smoker. But I’ve seen people light up in the shelter at a main terminal at rush hour. There are twenty people glaring at the smoker, but nobody says anything. I have spoken up myself a few times, but usually no one backs me up if the smoker is belligerant.
I have asthma, and as such I generally ask smokers who light up in the shelter if they can go outside – and amazingly, they usually do! But I agree, lighting up in the shelter in the first place is still inexcusable.
LOL! Smokers don’t pay anymore taxes than the rest of us, except for the taxes they pay on the cigarettes, which isn’t even a comparison. They get the same rights as the rest of us but smoking isn’t something forced on them. They chose it and they should deal with it when the time comes for them to have to.I’m thankful for the people that smoke that are considerate. It’s too bad they’re lumped in with the assholes that aren’t.
As a smoker myself, I believe there are some simple rules all smokers should heed; 1. If a sign says ‘No Smoking’, don’t fucking smoke there! 2. If smoking while walking down the sidewalk, be considerate enough not to blow smoke in other peoples faces. Inadvertent or not, it still makes you look like a prick.3. If somebody politely asks you not to smoke around them, show some respect and either butt out your smoke or move away from them. It’s just common courtesy
My wife always says something to the inconsiderate prick or bitch smoking in a bus shelter. But does it help? They are too fuckin’ ignorant to obey the rules, let alone think of others.I especially hate the ones that set next to me on the bus that smell like day old ashtrays. Maybe I’ll develop chronic farting when one is near me.
