To everyone who was stuck waiting in the pouring rain for somewhere close to two hours Friday evening waiting for the 52, you rock! Despite the crappy conditions, and the fact that the 52 is by and far the WORST route in HRM you guys were able to keep laughing. Thank you for the company and for helping preserve my sanity. Watch out for those tropical fishes, no I don’t believe in the 52 either, and you never know we could still get that reality show contract! —A Fellow Metro Transit Aficionado

Oh dear god, I live just on the other side of the McD bridge and waited for and hour for the 52 with a friend, on Wednesday when it was frigging cold!! I was goign to write a bitch about it. FIVE out of servie buses went by, we asked the #4 driver when the 52 was coming – he says “it’s always late” FFS, that’s no excuse!! 2 buses, just disappeared for some reason. /rant.
Anyway, glad you had some good company though.
Why in the name of god would you wait for a bus for an hour or even worse two. City isn’t that big I am sure you could have walked to where ever you were going in that time. Frack people are getting lazy these days. I couldn’t imagine waiting that long for a bus. Wouldn’t matter what the weather, I would rather just walk. Probably would have taken you a half hour to walk home… right ?…excercise does a body good.
It’s kind of the whole, well, if we go wait at the apt now for the bus, then we’ll just miss it, so we wait 5 more minutes… and then then next one is coming in 10 minutes, so whatever, we’ll just wait, just 10 more minutes…
And actually, it’s a 30 min ride through some sketchy neighbourhoods, so the bus is the best bet. Next time it’s cold though, calling a cab.
Kirabul- You do realize the 52 travels from Dartmouth to Halifax and vice versa.. don’t you? You do realize that walking from Dartmouth to Halifax may take a little longer than 30 minutes.. don’t you?
