  1. Space restrictions are difficult but you have no idea where someone is coming from or if they even had the option of grabbing a “cheap stroller” just to make life that much easier for riders of the dam bus. Busses accomodate loads of fat people that take up two seats and can barely walk down the damm isle but no one complains (gee maybe it’s glandular…right). How about people with grocery bags or laundry? But….. give someone a kid to deal with and everyone seem to think it’s open season.

  2. It’s not “open season”, kids have a right to be on a bus just as much as large people, no matter what the cause. BUT, if you know you are going to be on the bus with a toddler, try to make the effort and go to the Sally Ann and get a smaller stroller or borrow one that doesn’t take up the ENTIRE AISLE (which I have never seen a “fat person” or groceries do.) Or, try to avoid rush hour. I am not saying you need to spend a mint, but have some common sense; if the bus gets in an accident, I can abandon some groceries, but are we gonna have to climb over your hummer?

  3. You insensitive SOB. How do you know what conditions necessitated that person bringing a child on the bus at that hour? And keep your damn religious rhetoric to yourself. Some people find it offensive – like me for instance. Please resign yourself to the fact that there are agnostics who find your choice of words offensive. To poster #1, you’re just as insensitive as the jerk who bitched in the first place. How dare you single out fat people! Maybe your kid will grow up to be nice and fat one day.

  4. I get a little bit annoyed with the huge strollers too, but I respect that people probably cannot afford another smaller one for the bus. They just seem to be getting larger and larger now…..What does annoy me, is when children are on the bus at any time and are screaming and crying at the top of their lungs and it does not matter. The mothers ignore them or make a different noise to distract them. If I started screaming on the bus I would be kicked off, and I think that rule should apply to children as well. If they were properly trained then they would not scream and cry for 40 minutes.

  5. They are $10 brand new. Suck it up and buy one. Not only did I have to use one when my son was a baby(only four years ago)I also had to have it folded up or I wouldn’t be allowed on the bus.

  6. Banjon, I don’t think that was intended as a religious reference, really. It’s just for emphasis. The OP could just as easily have used “for goodness’ sake” or “for the love of Pete”.On topic, I’m all for letting everyone on the bus, but I agree that some people have way too much gear with them. I’d recommend those parents that intend to catch a bus only use the more portable, collapsing strollers at that time, as a courtesy to others and for the sake of safety. For anyone who has so many bags of stuff that they need more than a bench seat to store it all, I’d recommend taking a taxi. Not at attack, just a request.
