The waiting for 8 minutes was probably at a timing point so he wouldn’t be early at the rest of the stops. As for his so-called bitchy “your welcome”, did you happen to thank him when you got on the bus? Probably not and that makes you the asshole. Get over yourself already, people like you are the reason bus drivers are getting cranky with everyone else.
No no. Bus drivers getting cranky with people is part long-term road rage, part being too lazy to work for a living and “thinking” being on the road all day is easy, and simply being unqualified and incapable of working in the service industry. I see two bus drivers who are always in a great frame of mind for the work they do. And I only see them in the early mornings on the way to work. Some drivers are just jerks. Certainly not all. But definitely some.
I think this sort of behavior is how bus drivers entertain themselves on a boring shift. Pulling away from a stop when a passenger is running up to catch the bus, or jamming on the brakes when the bus is full of standees, are all real laff riots for a bored union man.

He stopped to let you on his bus at a location other than a marked bus stop, and you’re bitching him out!? What the fuck people. If anyone had reported him stopping at a location to pick you up other than a bus stop, he could get in a lot of trouble, including a very hefty fine. The fact that he did stop for you should deserve praise.I’m sure when you got on you forgot to say thanks, hence the sarcastic you’re welcome.
