I thought Haligonians were a little smarter. I am so sick of trying to cross the MacDonald bridge at rush hour. Here’s an idea: if there are 3 lanes of cars trying to merge into one lane bound for Halifax, TAKE FUCKING TURNS, you morons! If you all try and jam your cars into one lane at the same time, it causes a traffic jam.

  1. Here’s another idea: don’t cross the MacDonald bridge during rush hour traffic. Pretty simple.

  2. Sounds like the Three Stooges stuck in a doorway. The problem here is that they don’t want to wait for a turn – they have to get fuck knows where NOW!NOW!NOW!NOW!NOW!

  3. Man, I hate traffic…. hence walking to work.
Sorry for you crazy ass motorists but

    NEWSFLASH….
Halifax has some fucked up merges….. fight your way in or be left with a horn blowin’ up your ass….

  4. Do what the bus drivers do, use the far right toll booth if you have a MacPass. That way, you’re only worried about people on one side of you (considering how large a blind spot buses have, it makes a HUGE difference) and you don’t have to turn into another lane. If that isn’t possible or you need the left lane, then use the far left lane.

Even better, if possible, take the ferry.

  5. Clearly, the people coming from the Darkside are so desperate to leave the Darkside that they bottleneck at the bridges. You could always take the long way around which is much worse.

  6. …Just picture a zipper in your head, keeping the eyes open and on the road of course, and then take turns like the cars are teeth on the zipper… Oh, and wait your turn and fucking take it when it comes… If you can’t merge, you shouldn’t have a drivers license.

  7. I have a MacPass and use the far lane, even at rush hour only takes 3-4 mins to get through, if you live in the city you would have to be crazy not have a MacPass, they rock!!!

  8. other cities have traffic…traffic that starts kilometres outside the city on the trans-canada.
