Dude …If you was making $180.00 an hour (by your math) all night, you expect us to feel sorry for you ?
Yeah, ‘Not sympathetic’, the price of the deserts goes right into the cook’s pocket. The food doesn’t cost a thing, it gets delivered for free, and the Hotel isn’t interested in a cut. Idiot.
Dude….the retail value of the food prepared by the chef has no relation to thier wages. Read the posts more cafefully. I don’t see anything in Pissed off Cook’s post that indicated he was personally earning $180 per hour, the hotel would have sold the desserts for $30, he would have been paid his regular hourly wage for the ten mins he spent preparing them. Just so you know Chefs in NS usually earn between $13-$20/hr.
Not Sympathetic must have overlooked that its doubtful that the owner of a restaurant kitchen making $180/hour would be worried about missing his bus. Duh… I’d say it was a member of the kitchen staff who has a valid beef with the pranksters. I also doubt this staff member is making the $180 you mention which is probably the selling price of the deserts if you made and sold them for 60 minutes.
I don’t think Not Sympathetic has caught onto RJ’s sarcasm. Some people are so braindead when it comes to business, I just am speechless. Even if the desserts magically came out of the air for free, what right do pranksters have for wasting anybody’s time like that? Do they think because a doctor can make $180 per hour that it’s okay to waste their time too? Wow, these people are WAY too bored…hopefully somebody will prank call them one day and say their family has all been killed in an accident.
